Rae is a self taught artist from Newcastle upon Tyne UK, who specialises in detailed hand drawn illustrations.

Rae's work leans towards the art of chiaroscuro, often monochromatic and highly contrasted between the light and the dark, picking out the shadows and chasing light across the page. Rae is a mixed media artist, but her true love will always be drawing in pencil.

Raes work is dark, passionate and a little bit whimsical and encourages the viewer to connect with feeings of fantasy and nostalgia, especially those who never grew out of their horse girl era. Rae is a qualified Arborist and you may notice an ongoing theme in her most recent work focusing on the conservation of the UK's Native trees, it's wildlife and the ecosystem surrounding them.
